Bird Deterrent

Now we can control where birds build nests and where they leave their droppings. We have different styles of deterrents for different situations. There is no need to terrorize birds, build mechanical barriers nor pay for systems that do not work. Our deterrents are inexpensive, require no tools for installation and last for season after season.

General deterrence to keep birds from fouling patios, outdoor furniture, porches, sidewalks, steps, Barbecue Grills etc is one thing. Once a bird has nested in a location that is another thing entirely. Birds are very determined to return to a previous nesting site year after year. Yet we are very successful in keeping birds from returning to the scene of the crime even after they have nested – and in many cases have nested in the same location year after year after year.

Use-case 1

This bird built a nest in this location in this rain gutter every year. One year I built this wire mesh contraption to mechanically block the bird out to keep her from building the nest there. As you can see she built her nest there anyway. So I admitted defeat and let her stay there until her eggs were hatched.

The next year I installed one of our Gutter Mount Bird Deterrents which was incredibly easy and only took a few seconds to do. It was so effective that it even surprised me. It seemed too good to be true that something so simple and easy could be so effective.

After building her nest in this location year after year. The Gutter Mount Bird Deterrent caused her to build her nest elsewhere.

Use-case 2

Here I had a bird deterrent attached to this rain gutter. I took it down thinking that the bird nesting season was over. Within three days this bird built this nest in that exact location so I left it to hatch its eggs and wait for a rematch.

The next year is year I put a Gutter Mount Bird Deterrent at the mouth of the gable. The bird started to build her nest in this same spot so I moved the Deterrent closer to the house – to be more directly in the spot where she was building her nest. And that was it. She chose to go elsewhere and there’s been no nest since.

How it started

This is the view while standing on our deck. These Grackles flock in large numbers and are like flying cows to clean up after.

Feels like a Hitchcock movie at times. This was the problem that launched my journey to develop effective Bird Deterrents that attached easily to rain gutters with no tools.

After trying many Deterrents that were on the market I new I could do better.

Customer Reviews

Thank you for this most effective bird deterrent. It has worked wonders to keep the finches from nesting right by my front door. After years of repeatedly tearing down the nesting material from that light fixture the birds got the message. “This is not an available nesting site!” I love the birds and felt so guilty each time I destroyed their nesting material. You've definitely created a wonderful product and it's given me peace of mind. Thank you.

For years I've had a pair of swallows nesting on a post beam of my porch. Same spot on the same post every year. After every season, I tore down the nest. Yet they came back, year after year. Several months ago, I installed Dr. Kramer's bird deterrent on my gutter, in front of the area where I knew they'd build a nest. No swallows. They tried to return; they flew around with agitation for a couple weeks -- and then they gave up and built a nest somewhere else.

I had some barn swallows that were trying to build a nest on the light by my front door. I took the nest down, hoping they would go away, they came back, even turning the light on didn’t work. They continued to work at building a nest. So, I hung up your bird deterrent and they have never been back. I hung it up and it WORKED!!”

Doves built nests in several places in our rain gutters every year plugging them. Your Gutter Mount Bird Deterrents solved that problem completely. They were incredibly easy to install and stayed in place all season despite very severe weather.

Our large horse barn is plagued by pigeons every summer. They build nests high in the rafters and leave droppings everywhere. I hung your bird deterrents above the entrance doorways and the problem was solved.

I've had a recurring problem with swallows building nests in the can lights under the eaves of my porch. Wind creates a gap in between the edge of the can light and the soffit and next thing you know a pair of swallows has exploited the gap and built a nest inside the can light. This Spring I installed your bird deterrents near the lights where the swallows have nested in the past. And like magic, no swallows nested there this year!

We built a large deck onto our house. Various kinds of birds fouled the deck, the furniture the back porch even water in the dog’s dish multiple times every day with bird droppings. Constant cleaning did not the stop the problem from occurring between cleanings. Your bird deterrents kept our deck and furnishings clean with no effort.

Another success story for your Bird Deterrents. I put 4 of them in a large open lean-to shed where I park trucks. The birds had been a real constant nuisance with droppings on all of my trucks all of time. Since placing the Deterrents we’ve not had a single bird in there and no droppings on my vehicles. The birds ain’t around anymore.
